Goolwa

About this project

This Goolwa project is a coastal-inspired bathroom renovation, built around a mottled blue-grey feature tile laid vertically to draw the eye up and make the room feel taller than it is. The tile carries across the vanity wall, behind the toilet and right into the shower, so the space reads as one room rather than being chopped up into sections.

A sculptural vessel basin sits on a stone benchtop above a timber-look vanity, paired with a tall brushed nickel mixer and a matching rail shower. The warmer metal keeps things from feeling cold against all that stone, and a curved frameless mirror softens the corners. The floor is laid on the diagonal with a square tile-insert waste, so the drain all but disappears into the pattern.
