Urrbrae

About this project

This Urrbrae project involved a full renovation of two bathrooms.

The main bathroom was built around a double vanity, so there is no queuing in the morning, with twin above-counter basins and square matte black mixers sitting on a dark stone-look benchtop. A full-width mirrored shaving cabinet runs above it, which keeps all the everyday clutter behind a door and out of sight.

An inset bath sits alongside a generous walk-in shower, with charcoal floor tiles underfoot and a niche recessed into the wall so there is somewhere proper to put the shampoo. The second bathroom takes a more traditional turn, with white subway tiles laid in a brick bond, a vintage-style basin tap with lever handles and a classic handheld shower on a riser. The same matte black finish carries through both rooms to tie them together.
